CONTENDING THE CURRENT

Some currents don’t move around you – they move through you.

There is pressure, and there is pull. There is resistance, and there is surrender that still feels like a fight.

What’s chaotic can expose. What seems to separate can provide clarity. What may seem abrasive can reveal the truth. The surface can look calm while everything underneath is active, and the heart can be steadied even when the circumstances are not.

This is the work of contending – staying present, refusing numbness, and learning to see in the middle of the strain. Not performing wholeness. Not rushing resolution. Just holding steady until what is true becomes clearer.
