‘Known’ is a portrait series of people I have known

– in friendship, in passing, in shared places, and in ordinary moments that stayed with me. It’s rooted in a simple conviction: a person is never only what you can see at a glance. We carry histories, joys, wounds, and quiet strengths that don’t announce themselves.

To be known is a deep human longing, and it is also a kind of risk. It asks for attention, patience, and truth. These works are my way of practising that attention – honouring the dignity of familiar faces, and resisting the habit of reducing anyone to a role, a season, or a single story.

Underneath it all is a steady belief that we are seen more fully than we realise. Not scrutinised, not managed, but known – and loved in the knowing.
