Each painting here was made in the act of teaching. Some were painted beside students in workshops and international retreats; others during live or recorded online lessons where I walked through every brushstroke and colour decision in real time.
My teaching centres on capturing a person's essence with loose, expressive watercolour ā freeing artists from rigid rules and building confidence for bold, instinctive choices. In demonstrations, I show how gesture, colour, composition, and watercolour's unpredictability work together to convey genuine feeling. Whether painting children's portraits, deeper emotional narratives, or quick gestural studies, I guide the use of light, shadow, and colour relationships to help each artist find their own voice while learning solid technique.
