Lorraine Simonds Wins Monthly National Art Competition for February/March 2026
The 15th Annual PleinAir Salon Art Competition has announced its monthly winners for the February/March Competition. Lorraine Simonds has been selected as the winner of the Artist Under 40 Category with their painting titled, “Your Way Was Through The Sea”. The judge for the February/March Competition was renowned artist Sharon Sprung.
Simonds, along with the other 21 winners, is now entered into the Annual PleinAir Salon Art Competition that will be awarded in May 2026 at the 13th Annual Plein Air Convention & Expo. These artists will compete for a $15,000 cash grand prize, and for their painting to be featured on the cover of PleinAir Magazine. All of the monthly winners will be included in a showcase in the May/Jun digital edition of Fine Art Connoisseur, and the print and digital Apr/May issue of PleinAir Magazine, the #1 best-selling representational art magazine nationwide.*
