Loose Watercolour Landscapes

Squamish is changing fast, and I’ll be honest – I grieve some of what’s being lost. Painting the parts of my town is my ‘just for fun’ way of holding on to old Squamish: the homes, streets, and everyday landmarks that carried the town’s history, and the people who built it, before those traces disappear. Many of my recent paintings are completed en plein air, which means I painted these from life, exposed to the elements, and with my ‘portable studio’.
